dlr Festival of World Cultures celebrates it’s 10th Anniversary this July
The dlr Festival of World Cultures is Dublin’s biggest cultural festival, featuring over 800 artists from 33 countries in 180 events.
You have the best multi-arts, multi-cultural holiday feast of the summer without leaving Ireland.

The Festival has a host of different ways that you can be directly involved -opportunities range from sponsorship and the Festival Patrons scheme to volunteering and trading at the Festival.

Children 5 years and older are invited to attend the first ever Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Eco- Summer School on the 5th July - 9th July in Arch Bishop Mc Quaid National School, Ballybrack. Activities include bird box making, exploring local wildlife, growing your own plants and many other fun activities.
Cost: €60 per child.

Looking for something to do the June bank holiday weekend?
DLR Events presents 3 days of Outdoor Movies in the Park in the Peoples Park, Dun Laoghaire on Saturday June 5th, Sunday June 6th and Monday June 7th 2010.
Movies start at 3pm 5.30pm and 8.30pm daily.

Dun Laoghaire Youth Information Centre are moving up to Library Road.
Directions: If you are coming down Lower Georges Street turn right at the Library and continue up the road until you see the playground on the left-hand-side. We are relocating to the building beside the playground.
The Youth Info Centre will reopen on the 13th of April.

Want to have your say but not old enough to vote?
Join NYCI to share ideas and learn new skills to progress the campaign on Saturday, 10th April 2010.
At the meeting they will provide:
*Youth activism training
*The chance to ask a politician what works in lobbying issues
*The opportunity to create a video for use on social networking sites to spread the word
The interactive meeting will take place at Temple Bar Hotel, Fleet Street, Dublin 2.
The event is FREE OF CHARGE and travel expenses will be reimbursed. Lunch is also provided.
To apply please complete an application form, a parental consent form (if under 18) and an image consent form which are all available at www.voteat16.ie and post to NYCI, 3 Montague Street, Dublin 2.
Deadline for applications is Monday, March 22nd 2010.
